Western Speed Racing announces its driver line up for the 2008 USAC Racing season. 20 year old Paul Zimmerly, 18 year old Nic Faas, 20 year old Tim Skoglund and 21 year Chase Scott have joined the ever potent Western Speed Racing Team.
Paul Zimmerly who resides in Ridgefield Washington, comes to Western Speed Racing with three years of pavement midget experience with his best finish being a 2nd place at the 2007 Gerhardt Classic. Paul has several fast qualifier awards as well as top finishes in 2007 USAC / BCRA races. Paul is also an accomplished dirt sprint car racer and competed in the Washington State area. Paul also finished 12th in national standings in the 2003 SKUSA 80 cc shifter karts.

Nic Faas from Huntington Beach California, is a fourth generation racer whose great grandfather raced midgets in the mid to late 1940's. Nic comes to Western Speed Racing with two years Focus midget racing experience where he has a 2006 and 2007 California dirt championship with multiple class wins. Nic also has 12 state championships and 33 track records competing in quarter midgets.

Tim Skoglund who resides in Fresno California just completed his second consecutive California Ford Focus Pavement midget championship having won in the 2006 and 2007 seasons under the Western Speed Racing banner. He capped off the 2007 season with seven main event wins in the 17 race schedule. Tim also has over 100 main event wins, 11 track records and 10 championships competing in quarter midgets from the age of 6 to 15 years old.
Chase Scott a resident of Concord North Carolina, is a three time consecutive year USAC Carolina Ford Focus Midget champion who spent the 2007 season competing in full midget events throughout the United States. Chase competed in several national midget pavement and dirt events with several top finishes. Chase is also the son of famed AMA motorcycle legend Hank Scott as well as younger brother to Ryan Scott who also competed in USAC open wheel cars.
